VOZ: Voices on Canvas invites individuals from all walks of life—whether they are lifelong artists, first-time creators, or simply seeking a new way to express themselves—to embark on a 12-week creative storytelling journey designed to foster healing, self-discovery, confidence, and purpose.
Guided by creative storyteller, educator, and coach Catherine "Cat" Silvas, participants will explore their personal stories through painting, mixed media, journaling, and guided reflection within a welcoming and supportive creative community.
VOZ is designed to help participants move from remembering to understanding, from uncertainty to confidence, and from simply telling their story to transforming it into meaningful works of art. Through creative exploration, thoughtful conversation, personal reflection, and artistic expression, participants are encouraged to honor their past, embrace their present, and intentionally create their future.
Throughout the twelve-week experience, each participant develops a collection of artwork that reflects their unique journey while discovering the courage to share their voice, celebrate their growth, and recognize that every life is a masterpiece still in the making.
The journey concludes with a professionally curated gallery exhibition where participants celebrate not only the artwork they've created, but the story they've embraced and the person they are becoming.
VOZ is not about becoming a professional artist. It is about discovering that creativity already lives within you.
Whether you've never painted before or have spent years creating, this experience welcomes every skill level. Here, there is no pressure to be perfect—only an invitation to be authentic.
Throughout the twelve weeks, participants engage in painting, mixed media, journaling, storytelling, coaching, and thoughtful conversation. Each project builds upon the last, creating a visual autobiography that celebrates where you've been, embraces who you are today, and envisions the person you're becoming.
By the end of the program, participants leave with more than a collection of artwork—they leave with greater confidence, deeper self-awareness, meaningful relationships, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Roots • Identity • Story
Every masterpiece begins with a foundation.
The first month invites participants to explore the experiences that shaped their lives. Through guided storytelling and creative exercises, participants begin discovering the beauty hidden within their own story.
Possible creative projects include:
• The Letter of Me
• My Roots Canvas
• Cultural Identity Collage
• Defining Moments Timeline
• Symbols of My Story
Reflection Question:
What experiences have made me who I am?

Voice • Values • Healing
Transformation begins with embracing today.
The second month focuses on discovering your authentic voice. Participants explore their strengths, values, emotions, gifts, boundaries, relationships, and areas of healing. Through creative expression, participants gain confidence in who they are while learning to see themselves with compassion and courage.
Possible creative projects include:
• Symbolic Self-Portrait
• Gratitude Canvas
• Coloring My Emotions
• What I Am Today
• Identity Through Layers
Reflection Question:
Who am I becoming in this season of my life?
"Be transformed by the renewing of your mind." — Romans 12:2
Purpose • Dreams • Legacy
Your story is still being written.
The final month invites participants to dream boldly and create intentionally. Through vision casting and creative planning, participants explore purpose, calling, future goals, and the legacy they hope to leave behind.
Participants complete artwork that reflects hope, possibility, and the next chapter of their journey.
Possible creative projects include:
• Vision Board Canvas
• Future Letter to Myself
• Dream Map
• Legacy Piece

What light do I want to leave behind?
"Write the vision and make it plain." — Habakkuk 2:2
